Ryan,
what if...
What if the accident
would never have happened on that terrible
day in March?
Where would you be now and what would you
be doing?
When you left so suddenly, did you know that
I loved you?
Who takes care of you now and makes sure
you're safe, happy and content?
Should I have been a better mother, done
things differently and not taken things for
granted?
Could the train have been late, or could
the car have crossed the tracks sooner?
Would you come back to me now if you were
given the choice?
Will life go on as usual?
Probably.
Will people ever forget your dimples or ornery
grin?
Never.
Will I love you and hold you in my heart?
Always.
Will I have good days and bad days and can
I go on?
I should.

Ryan
was the kind of teenager that could drive you crazy
at times, but he always had a kind word and a smile
for everyone he met. He was the glue that held our
family together with his kindness and laughter. We
will always miss the wonderful son and brother he was
and the husband, father, and grandfather he would've
become. He was a special gift from God and I'm proud
to be able to have called him my son. |
